About
Who we are
Three co-founders, one of us full time and the other two part time. No clients yet, by choice, and three founding slots open.
Why this exists
We did not start this because of what AI can do.
We started it because of how AI usually gets sold.
Most of what we have seen oversells what the technology can do and prices itself so a buyer cannot compare one quote to the next. It is also usually built so that leaving costs more than staying, which is the part we found hardest to defend if we ever caught ourselves doing the same thing.
The name
Silenus was the tutor in Greek myth who told the truth nobody wanted to hear, usually to people who had come looking for flattery. The margin notes on this site are named after him.
We picked the name before we could explain it, which is why the old site never did. This is the explanation, written later.
What we will not do
Walking away from an engagement, or from a prospect, counts as a good outcome here. We decided that before anyone was under pressure to think otherwise, which is the only time a rule like that is worth writing down. If AI is not the answer, we will say so.
- We do not promise a compliance outcome.
- We do not name a number before we have actually looked at the problem.
- We do not claim a case study we do not have.
- We do not name a competitor and run them down.
- We do not take on a build that skips the diagnosis.
We are not the honest ones surrounded by liars. We are a firm that has written down rules to protect itself from pressures every firm faces, including us.
The people
GuruPrakash SampathKumar
Twenty two years in enterprise technology. LinkedIn
Reena NP
Fifteen years in technology, eight of them running an IT services company as founder and chief executive. LinkedIn
That second line is the answer to the only real objection a firm with no clients faces. Reena NP has already done the hard version of the thing we are asking a founding client to do.
