Ten questions

Ten questions before we meet

Ten questions, about ten minutes. No preparation, and no wrong answers. "I do not know" is a real answer to several of these and tells us something useful.

So we know who we are writing back to.
Where the one-page read goes. Nowhere else.
Optional.
Something usually prompts it. A person leaving, a bad month, a customer complaint, a competitor doing something.
2. Roughly how many enquiries did you receive last month, and how many turned into quotes or proposals?
3. When an enquiry arrives on a Friday evening, what actually happens to it?
4. From the moment a customer asks for a price, how long does it typically take for the quote to reach them?
5. What happens to a quote nobody replies to?
6. When you lose work, what do you usually lose to?Tick as many as apply.
One example is more useful to us than a category. Copying delivery addresses from email into the system beats admin.
8. Does anyone re-type or copy information from one place into another?
9. What is the work that only you can do, and roughly how many hours did you get on it last week?
10. Which systems do you run?Tick or name what applies.
Do you handle anything regulated, clinical, legal, or confidential to your own clients?

Nothing here commits you to anything, and we will not pass your answers to anyone. What we do with them.
