Who runs this site

Silenos LLC. Writing to us through this site does not start a piece of work or create a contract. That happens in a signed document, not on a web page.

What the site is for

Reading, and getting in touch. Everything here describes how we work and what we think. None of it is an offer, a quote, or a price, and nothing on this site commits us to doing a piece of work.

The ten questions are not advice

The ten questions, and the one-page read we send back, are two people's opinion after reading your answers. They are not legal advice, not a compliance assessment and not an audit, and they are not a substitute for asking someone qualified in your jurisdiction. Decisions about your business stay yours.

What we do not promise

We keep this site accurate and we fix what we get wrong. We cannot promise it is complete, or current, or reachable at every moment. If something here matters to a decision you are about to make, write and ask a person rather than relying on the page.

Whose words are whose

The writing, drawings and code on this site are ours. Quote us, link to us and argue with us in public. Do not republish the writing as your own. What you send us in a form stays yours, and we use it only to reply to you.

Changes

This page changes when the site does. There is no notification, because there is no mailing list to notify.

One thing this page does not say

A terms page usually names the country whose law applies and the courts that would hear a dispute. This one does not, and the reason is not an oversight. We will not write a jurisdiction down until the company's registration is in front of us, because the wrong one would be worse than none. It goes here when we have it.
